Ecology of Freshwater Fish publishes original contributions to fundamental fish ecology in freshwater environments, including lakes, reservoirs, rivers, and streams. Papers addressing life stages of anadromous and catadromous species in estuaries and inshore coastal zones are considered if they contribute to an understanding of freshwater fish ecology. Studies involving population ecology and community ecology are of interest, as are investigations of behavioural ecology, evolutionary ecology, and historical ecology. Ecological studies of specific fields of study are welcomed, including development, genetics, life history, physiology, and host-parasite interactions. We especially encourage submissions on conservation and the impact of climate change on biodiversity.
