Abstract

Journal of Ecology publishes high-quality, influential papers where plant ecology is central. We publish papers on the role of plants, plant-animal and plant-microbe interactions in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. We bring important work to a wide international audience and therefore only publish papers that significantly advance our understanding of general ecological principles and plant ecological mechanisms with the potential to shape the field. We publish papers on cultivated plants and agricultural ecosystems only if they address important ecological or eco-evolutionary questions.
